Privacy policy

This policy covers the Visit Morogoro website and Android app. They are operated by Righteous International Company Ltd (RIC Agency), Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (“we”). Contact: md@ric.co.tz.
What we collect
- App profile: the name and country you enter, your language, and whether you agreed to receive offers.
- Trip and listing requests: phone number, optional email, dates, number of travellers and your message, only when you send a request.
- Push notification token: a device token from Google Firebase so we can send the alerts you turned on.
- Passport stamps: which trip-planning steps you completed in the app.
- Website analytics and ads: only if you accept cookies, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel measure visits and ad results.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or payment card details in the app.
How we use it
- To run your account, show your passport and send the notifications you asked for.
- To answer your trip request. A team member may call or WhatsApp you.
- To measure and improve our service. If you opted in, we may also send offers.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. Service providers process it for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Expo and Google Firebase (push notifications), Google and Meta (analytics and ads, website only, with consent). A lodge or tour operator receives your request only if you ask us to book with them.
Retention and deletion
We keep your app profile until you delete it. Trip requests are kept for up to 24 months for follow-up and accounting. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Delete my account) or by following the steps on our account deletion page.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). The app signs in with a random token, and we store only its hash.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing md@ric.co.tz. We answer within 30 days.
